Books have been written on this topic, and the controversy and disagreement about where the "hot" video slots are located in the casino are still rampant - 60 years after one armed bandits were first placed in gambling dens.

The quintessential rule is that the most favorable slot machine games were positioned just inside the main foyer of the casino; so that everyone passing by would be able to see real jackpot winners and be keen enough to come into the casino ... play. Our assurance is that this is no longer true.

Most of the big name casinos today are jumbo complexes ... now you can't see inside from the sidewalk, so there's no longer a reason to put the 'loose' one armed bandits in close proximity to any doorways.
