Books have been stated on this item, and the bickering and squabbling about where the "hot" video slots are placed in the casino are still on-going - over sixty years after the slot machines were first installed in gambling dens.

The traditional rule is that the more favourable slot machines were located just inside the main doorway of the casino; so that fun seekers going by would see actual jackpot winners ... be possessed to come unto the gambling floor and play. Our stance is that this is no longer the case.

Many of the large casinos these days are gigantic complexes ... it's no longer possible to see inside from the sidewalk, so there's no longer a reason to position the 'loose' one armed bandits near any exits.

And the very last thing a casino wants is for someone to win a jackpot by playing only a few coins and then not stay to put it all back in!
